We are a dedicated team of tech enthusiasts, engineers, and warehouse veterans operating out of our 26,000 sq ft headquarters in Halesowen, West Midlands.

Our Story: From Floppy Disks to 8K Connectivity
Our journey began in 1986. Back then, we were known as Cornbow Office Products, and the cutting-edge tech of the day meant supplying floppy disks and printer ribbons to local businesses.
As technology evolved, so did we. By the 1990s, we had forged direct manufacturing relationships in the Far East — relationships we still rely on today to guarantee the quality of our products. In 1995, we launched our first dedicated line of computer cables, which quickly expanded into a full range of keyboards, mice, and AV accessories.
In 2024, the company entered its modern era when Lea Young and John Caswell took full ownership of Group Gear Ltd. Both Lea and John are the definition of "working your way up" — Lea started in the warehouse back in 1994, and John joined as an IT apprentice in 1999. Today, they lead a company that remains deeply committed to quality, sustainability, and keeping the UK connected.

The Owners - Lea & John - You won't find many company directors who know the warehouse floor as well as the boardroom. Lea (a lifelong Aston Villa fan and gadget obsessive) and John (who shares his home with alpacas and Shetland ponies) have spent a combined 50+ years building this company from the ground up.
The Cable Guru - Darren - He has been with us for 15 years. In his own words, he’s been surrounded by cables, connectors, and coffee for so long that he "dreams about cabling more than is healthy." If a product makes it onto our site, Darren knows exactly how it works.
The Admin & Customer Care Team - Lauren & Grace - The real organisational powerhouses of the business. From processing your orders to answering your queries, Lauren and Grace are the friendly voices and fast typists making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Without them, the rest of the office would probably forget where they put their coffee mugs!
Technical Support - Tom - Tom is the guy you want on your side when tech goes wrong. When he isn't developing systems, testing new web products, or playing sci-fi games, he’s geeking out over his borderline obsession with imported Korean noodles.
Warehouse Supervisor - Matt - Matt has run our warehouse for 20 years. Born and raised in the Black Country, with a mission is to run the warehouse as efficiently as humanly possible — which is why your order gets picked, packed, and dispatched so quickly, with support from Wing.
